Total site optimization: soft and hard tissue modification
For successful implant-based restoration, we must have a sufficient amount of hard and soft tissue of definite quality surrounding the implant. Various techniques of hard and soft tissue grafting will be presented, highlighting the importance of creating a favorable peri-implant environment that leads to long-term and predictable outcome. Soft tissue manipulation with the help of modified temporary restorations renders superb results, mimicking the nature. Properly designed final restorations ensure functionally and esthetically ideal aftermath.
Learning objectives for this lecture:
- Create sufficient volume of structural bone supporting the implant
- Enhance soft tissue quality and quantity around the implants by creating appropriate volume and adequate width of keratinized tissue
- Modify temporary restorations to achieve ideal emergence profile
